Thomas C. Donnelly Library
New Mexico Highlands University
The Thomas C. Donnelly Library supports the teaching, research and community activities of New Mexico Highlands University. It promotes programs and services that emphasize the diversity of the university’s multicultural community and heritage. An addition increased the square footage from 23,700 to 53,500 and now holds a book collection of almost 200,000 volumes.

Carnegie Library (1904)
500 National Avenue
The first and only surviving Carnegie Library in New Mexico. This beautiful library was built with a $10,000 donation from philanthropist Andrew Carnegie. This prime example of Neo-Classical Revival architecture, resembling Thomas Jefferson's Monticello, occupies one city block bordered by handsome Victorian-style structures.

City of Las Vegas Museum & Rough Rider Memorial (1940)

The City Museum & Memorial is preparing for the 21st century by preserving the past in a congenial atmosphere. The museum came into being after veterans from Theodore Roosevelt's Rough Riders regiment named Las Vegas as their official reunion home. The first Rough Rider Reunion was held in Las Vegas in June of 1899.
